SCHUBERTH ORTHODONTICS TEAM
Denise is the office manager at Schuberth Orthodontics and is usually the first person to greet you at the office. She has enjoyed working in the orthodontic field for 30 years and with Schuberth Orthodontics for 17 years. Denise says that she has seen a lot of interesting things during her time at Schuberth Orthodontics. She once had a patient who brought their dog into the office – just so he could show her the reason his retainer was missing!
Denise loves meeting new patients and their families and watching the amazing transformation as patients go through orthodontic treatment. The huge smile on a patient’s face when his or her braces are removed is her favorite part of her job.
“During the time I’ve worked with Dr. Schuberth, I have had the benefit of seeing our patients grow up. I find it extremely rewarding when they come in for retainer check-ups and want to share what is going on in their grown up lives. Some even want to become orthodontists themselves!”
In her free time, Denise enjoys bike riding, photography, and spending time with her family. Now that her children are adults, her husband wants her to learn how to golf, but she doesn’t understand how hitting a tiny ball into a hole you can’t see could be an enjoyable game!
Missy is Dr. Schuberth’s daughter and has worked part-time at Schuberth Orthodontics since she was in high school. Missy assists Denise with various administrative responsibilities as well as coordinates with the entire staff to implement different marketing programs both in and out of the office. She enjoys the atmosphere at Schuberth Orthodontics and the team members she works with.
“I feel very lucky that my job allows me to work not only alongside my family, but with an amazing team of friendly and fun people, too. Everyone is genuinely kind, upbeat, and positive, which creates a really welcoming and comfortable environment in our office. Our patients are equally as wonderful to work with – most people walk in and out of the office with a smile on their face!”
Missy graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Elementary Education and loves working with children. In her free time, Missy enjoys baking gluten free recipes, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend. She has been a vegetarian for over ten years and gluten free for more than five years.
Liza started at Schuberth Orthodontics with an internship to help her complete her dental assisting program at First Institute. She has been with Schuberth Orthodontics ever since then!
Liza walks through the door every morning with a huge smile on her face and has a positive attitude the entire day. She is always ready for an action packed day at Schuberth Orthodontics and enjoys hearing about all the fun activities and hobbies her patients are involved in. She appreciates that she can engage one-on-one with her patients while she works because it allows her the chance to get to know each patient individually.
Outside of the office, Liza enjoys playing outdoors with her son. They take bike rides along the river, cook up new meals from Pinterest, and do small crafts together. Liza used to play volleyball in high school and hopes to play again soon for fun.
Stephanie joined the team at Schuberth Orthodontics in 2016 and currently has over 9 years of experience as a certified orthodontic assistant. She loves that she gets to meet new people and engage with patients in a fun and friendly environment every day on the job. Stephanie is dedicated to providing the best quality of care for her patients and their families, and loves being able to make a difference in people’s lives. Seeing a patient smile after getting their braces off is a moment that she describes as “priceless!”.
When she’s not in the office, Stephanie says that family time is very precious to her. Her top priority is spending time with her husband and her two children, Aaliyah and Gil. She also enjoys working out, shopping, and trying out new recipes. She loves to cook!
Alicia joined the team at Schuberth Orthodontics in 2016 and is a certified Orthodontic Assistant. She is passionate about creating beautiful smiles and dedicated to giving each patient and their family the best possible care. Alicia enjoys chatting with her patients and loves learning new things about them at each appointment. It makes her day when a patient sees their new smile for the first time, and she feels honored to have been able to play such a meaningful role in making that smile a reality.
“Smiles change lives, and there’s no better feeling than seeing the change in each patient that comes through the office”
Outside of the office, Alicia loves spending time with her family and three dogs. She is always playing music – whether it be guitar, piano, or drums, music is a big part of her everyday life. Alicia also enjoys running and hopes to run and complete her first half marathon soon!
